Thanks for the quick reply!

But this feature is in the roadmap? it's sure a nice thing.

Thanks once more.

Hi,

I think there is some EU regulation or saying that one cannot cover the DVB broadcast information, so those kind of ticker applications are not allowed unless you have the specific agreement with the broadcaster. Outside EU it might be different. However I do not have any other information on that topic Might be someone from STA cab bring a light there?

What I think is possible (but there is no API for that in STA SDK) is making the rendering area for DVB signal smaller and fill surrounding area with the information you would normally put into overlay. Doing that since that way the picture is smaller (e.g. 80%) but not overlaid.

Having more information on this topic would be interesting..

Hi,

Yes, there is a regulation about that in my country too...
But Google TV and Samsung SDK has support for Tricker applications, which is a bit strange. Maybe it's because is only a small portion of the screen (about less than 10%) there is no restriction.

But, yeah. I agree, having more information on this topic would be pretty interesting..

Hi,

1) Is there really a Google TV with DVB-T?
2) Samsung allows that, but they will not publish it, unless you show them the agreement with the broadcaster and you limit the application for specific channel - even in their self-check list they are mentioning that \"Ticker - Non EU countries\"
