Simple question.

In order to run and use an application, is it downloaded from manufacturer's store and stored in TV or is it loaded from the Internet and internet connection is required?

Could I just follow up on this question, because I'm still not certain about this point.

If I build an app, and it's approved, does it live on my webhost, or does it live on the Smart TV device? This can be important because the app I intend to develop needs to pull data from an RSS feed, and that creates security errors without PHP code to help it along. Is PHP understood by the Smart TV?

Hi,

The app is not in Smart TV Alliance devices, we just need the APP URL and some metadata and do not require to package the app for installation in devices.
