Hi,

the Philips Net TV Emulator functions according to another standard, and is not compatible with the Smart TV Alliance standard. As such, an app using the STA standard will only work in the STA emulator (and consequently, on STA compatible devices). You can find a conforming device list on https://developers.smarttv-alliance.org/list-devices.

Should STA app work in Philips Net TV emulator

Hi

I'm developing an app using the Angular framework. It works fine in the STA emulator but when I attempt to run it using the Philips Net TV emulator available from yourappontv.com (and an old 2013 Philips 5500 blu ray player), it fails to load.

So, my question is, should an app that works on Philips STA devices also work on the Philips Net TV platform?
