Emulator Stopped Working

I have been working with the SDK and deploying to the emulator for a couple of weeks with no problem. When I opened the emulator today, it will not load past the terminal screen. It just hangs there with a prompt of (initramfs). Any thoughts on what may have caused this and any fix? I am running the linux flavor of the sdk.
