Hi guys, somebody could you send me the certification QA manual test suite?
Hi, i work in Argentina in a testing team in qubit.tv
Now i am testing the Smart tv application but we do manual testing.
The cuestion is, I know all markets have a testing suite for all applications previous to go up to the
store. For example Microsoft have an specific test suite for Xbox and Surface, LG the same for smartTv,
and the same for android apps.

We have same of them but i ask you if you can send me that consolidation test suite.

On the official website https://www.yourappontv.com/documentation/example-code, is an example of how the keyboard is implemented, but when tested on the TV and had the status of input focus, the system appeared under the keyboard and the screen and keyboard which was implemented from example (CE-HTML examples / Virtual keyboard) and then we screen two keyboard. Here the question arises whether the TV on all versions of the system has a keyboard? If so, you can find out where to get documentation on it? If not on all versions of TV system has a keyboard, how then oprydilyty keyboard when you show?

I can package and install a webOS app on a webOS tv with no problem using the "ares" commands.

However, can anyone tell me how to install an STA app on the same device in compatibility mode?

From what I can tell, Philips are only supporting Android in their latest devices (in the UK, at least).

I see from the 'Conformed Device List' that LG only lists devices from 2013 and 2014. Does that mean that STA is not supported on any LG devices from 2015 onwards?

Hi

None of the Samsung devices support the STA platform. Newer Samsung devices use the Tizen platform, while older ones use Orsay.

However, since the core of your app code will be Javascript and HTML5, you can port it to Tizen and Orsay. This mostly involves replacing the media playback and device handling (eg network connection check, device id, key codes etc) portions of your code.

just purchased a new LG smart tv model LG 40LF630V.
wanting to install plex on it but cannot find a "download " anywhere , the model is not listed in " supported LG models " but its a new model so i haven't given up hope yet , does anyone please know where i can find a download link ?

information on differences between hardware of the TV device is - for Smart TV Alliance purposes - handled (solely) through the capability mechanism that is described in the Smart TV Alliance Specification and the Smart TV Alliance Developer Guidelines (https://developers.smarttv-alliance.org ... umentation).
There are no options to influence hardware settings through the Smart TV Alliance specification. In general, TV devices are highly optimized embedded devices with specific graphics engine, that offer no user or developer oriented modification options, as the software is already configured for the most optimal settings. In (unlikely) cases where there *are* specific options a developer can set, you could check with the individual manufacturer of the TV device.

Hi,
We would like to build a graphics intense application and are interested in getting information about the hardware of individual TV-setups (graphic card,sound card, memory, etc..).

Is it possible to get this information from the Smart TV Alliance Program?

Also at the same time we would like to dirctly access an influence hardware settings through our application.

No worries, we are not planning to over clock the CPU, we are interested in creating a better viewing experience with the help of hardware adjustments.
